MAPA’s Main Street Arts Project
MAPA is the proud owner of three buildings on Main Street in the heart of historic Wailuku town. The buildings house MAPA’s Main Street Arts Project, a comprehensive performing arts campus serving people of all ages, from keiki to kupuna. As an anchor for the new Wailuku Arts District, the Main Street Arts Project includes a new state-of-the-art black box theatre (opening 2025), rehearsal studios, classrooms, and production support spaces.
2027 Main
Formerly the National Dollar Store, this building is the future home of The Naylor, a state-of-the-art black box theatre. With generous individual donations and grants, including a $3.5 million federal grant from the Economic Development Administration (EDA), we began construction in December 2023 and expect construction to be complete in mid-2025.
