MAPA’s Main Street Arts Project
MAPA is the proud owner of three buildings on Main Street in the heart of historic Wailuku town. The buildings house MAPA’s Main Street Arts Project, a comprehensive performing arts campus serving people of all ages, from keiki to kūpuna.
As an anchor for the new Wailuku Arts District, the Main Street Arts Project includes a new state-of-the-art black box theatre (opening 2025), rehearsal studios, classrooms, and production support spaces.
2027 Main Street
Formerly the National Dollar Store, this building is the future home of The Naylor, MAPA’s state-of-the-art black box theatre. With generous individual donations and grants, including a $3.5 million federal grant from the Economic Development Administration (EDA), we began construction in December 2023 and expect construction to be complete in mid-2025.
