It takes a community to connect a community.
At MAPA, we stand ready to continue connecting our community in shared moments of awe and wonder through the performing arts. We invite you to join us by giving to our annual MAPA Fund to support our programs and general operations. We also invite you to consider a gift to help us complete our $15 million capital campaign to build the Main Street Arts Project with its crown jewel, the Naylor Family Theatre.
In partnership with you, we look forward to sharing stories that bring solace and joy and inspire us to persevere with courage and grace. Your support ignites new hope for a new world. Thank you for believing in MAPA and the power of the performing arts.

Building the Dream
MAPA’s decades-long dream of a permanent home of our own is finally coming true! The Main Street Arts Project is a performing arts campus in the heart of historic Wailuku where our community, from keiki to kūpuna, will gather to participate in the performing arts.
Anchoring the Wailuku Arts District, the Main Street Arts Project includes the Naylor Family Theatre, a 185-seat black box theatre currently under construction in the former National Dollar Store. In addition to the performance space, the building will house a rehearsal studio, green room, dressing room, new restrooms, and a rooftop photovoltaic system. With a reconfigurable seating system, top-notch sound mitigation features, and state-of-the-art audiovisual and lighting systems, the venue will be suitable for theatre, music, dance, comedy, film, and a wide range of events.
Our capital campaign goal for this project is $15 million, of which we have secured $13.7 million. Please help us raise the final $1.3 million. We are grateful for contributions of any size – every dollar helps! Donors contributing $1,000 or more to MAPA’s capital campaign will be acknowledged on the Donor Recognition wall in the lobby.
We invite you to consider a naming opportunity for yourself or to honor or memorialize a loved one.
