We’ve expanded the hours of the camp to include a 3 week conservatory program with classes in singing, dancing, acting plus other performance skills like stage combat, scenic design, stage make-up, how to read music, and more! The conservatory classes are taught by professional teaching artists and some of Maui’s top performers.

Your child will be whisked away to the land of make believe! Children will spend each day as a different fairytale character or superhero. Enjoy dancing, stories, activities and crafts. Bring your imagination and your favorite costume. No experience necessary.

For Educators

MAPA’s Voices program teaches literacy skills through drama to over 3,500 elementary school students on Maui each school year. Through multi-week residencies, students improve their reading comprehension skills while learning the foundations of drama. Professional teaching artists collaborate with the classroom teachers so that each drama lesson is directly linked to classroom curricula.

Audience Engagement

Ever walk out of a theatre with a million questions about the show? We want to answer those questions. AfterWords is our post-show discussion with our creative team, talent, and you.

Our goal at MAPA is that the work we do educationally and artistically is in service to the good of the community, to the growth of the community, and the well-being of the community. – Executive & Artistic Director, David Johnston.
